An outlook on cars of Future!
This has been into a debate since 1886 that what will be the future of cars? when the first car(Motorwagen) emerged out of the mind of legendary Karl Benz, it wasn't made for everyone. But the car which was first available to masses was the Ford Model T(below image) in 1908 by Henry Ford. Till today 100 years have been passed and we have came so far in the up gradation of models that we have some amazing car manufacturers who are always into the planning and research of future automobiles.
If we talk about time span from those days, cars have seen different eras from America's long stretched sedans to Japan's small concept vehicles. People's interest in particular type of cars has changed with change in time. Many manufacturers entered the market and take the industry to a new level.
I will not bore you with history as the reason of this article is to talk about 'Future of Cars'. From future , we'll be discussing about the technological enhancement that car industry has seen so far and what are the further surprising vehicles we will got to see from manufacturers creative design from all over the world.
All these years we've been using petrol, diesel and other fuel options in cars, but what is the impact of using all these fuels on environment? Emission from cars have not only been a major reason for rising global temperature but also the death of many due to accidents.
Major American and European giants like Chevrolet and B.M.W have come up with their electric cars concept, which are not only safe to drive but also a step towards green environment. But!this electric era wouldn't be seen today if some inexperienced guys have taken a step into the production of electric cars or better say The Future Cars, i.e 'Tesla Motor' cars started by Elon Musk in 2004 in California, USA. Their first model-Roadster, which wasn't a hit earlier but past is past and with so much of caliber, vision, their innovative design which puts the company's name at the top in the Forbes's list led other companies like Nissan, Chevrolet to also invest in their electric concept models.
On the other hand, apart from electric cars, some questions which are striking into my mind are how will these future cars get power? A person will actually be driving it or we just have to sit and reach our destination? Will it have wheels or use some sort of magnetic friction? I think any question which is a little funny can be a serious development for the production of future cars. Companies are spending huge sums of money for building that perfect cars which is a dream of every individual. Not only the automobile manufacturers, but big IT giants like Google and Apple are also investing in making of future cars. An article on the same topic by Sven Beiker of BBC focused on the cars of 2050. They mentioned that Apple is working with many car companies to integrate Siri which will be a virtual personal assistant in the car for helping us with routes, traffic information and even scheduling of our day. Isn't that fun?
Daimler and Toyota are also working on such a great fuel-cell technology which result in smooth electric drive and only the water vapour coming out the tailpipe. That means no pollution! Well if that's surprising you than you must know that Volvo, the Swedish automaker is developing a technology in which a fleet of cars will be controlled by a leading vehicle and all following a safe distance.
So, we can say that future cars will not only communicate with us but with other cars too, they will work effectively on traffic signals, navigate us through bad weather conditions. They will know if we're being drowsy or straying away from our lane. Who knows, they will have 20 wheels or no wheels, they can either take us to the deep sea oceans or even climb up on the top of the mountains. We can be able to fly cars, I mean these are all imaginations on which people are working. So, we're just hoping that positive results come soon and we can see what's the future of Cars.
